What if shopping trips were always as stressful as they are during the holiday season?
For families affected by autism, they are.
But you can make a difference.
A message from the mom who shared her perspective in this video:
“This video shows what a trip to the store is like with a child who has autism. Maybe you have seen us out and about, maybe you have seen other families struggle.
Everything takes longer, requires extra planning, and sometimes we just have to cut our losses and try again on another day. This was actually a pretty good outing for us.
If you make a charitable donation this holiday season, please consider the Virginia Institute of Autism. They can help us and other families like ours to get much needed respite. #GivingTuesday”
Your gift this holiday season can brighten the whole year for families affected by autism.
