Parent Education Series Kicks Off with “Understanding Autism”

September 24, 2014 | Family Resource Navigator

Today we launched our free Parent Education Series with a seminar on “Understanding Autism” by VIA’s Director of Outpatient Behavioral Services, Emily Callahan.

The series will run every Wednesday through December at noon at the Albemarle County Office Building on McIntire Road.

Each workshop will cover a different topic, from making informed decisions about treatment to feeding and sleeping.

The goal is to give parents and caregivers (grandparents, babysitters, counselors, etc.) a free series of workshops that answer common questions, and to give them a chance to meet other parents and caregivers.

Contact our Family Resource Navigator, Hilary Nagel, with any questions.

Hope to see you next Wednesday!
