Current Status Update – March 16, 2020 — 4:00 pm
Our work day on Monday allowed us to make some determinations about Outpatient and Adult services, and to start to set plans for staying in touch with families during closure.
JCH Families: School is closed for at least two weeks effective Monday (3/16 – 3/27). If that period is extended, we will notify you immediately. School staff will be in regular communication with you about your situation and your needs. Please contact Hilary at hnagel [at] viacenters [dot] org if you are experiencing a crisis and need support.
Outpatient Families: In-person clinic and home services suspended for at least two weeks starting Monday (3/16 – 3/27). We are evaluating our options and guidance from regulating agencies and insurance companies for the possibility of providing remote services. VIA staff will be in contact with you about your needs during closure and to discuss what remote service options might be available to you.
Adult Services Families: Adult Day Program is suspended for at least two weeks starting Monday (3/16 – 3/27). Adult Behavior Consultation may be available remotely for authorized clients. Staff is continuing to explore possibilities for remote services and will begin regular communications with families of adult clients immediately.
All VIA Staff: Monday will be considered as a weather closure day. All VIA staff to report starting Tuesday. Your supervisors will tell you whether to come in to VIA or work remotely. Supervisors will also communicate work plans to include remote services planning and support, organizational planning and development work, and parent/client communications contacting.
The first case of COVID-19 has now been confirmed in our area. Please self-isolate if you have had any contact with anyone diagnosed with or suspected of having the virus.
