2017 Gala Roundup – “It Takes a Village”

October 5, 2017 | Events

VIA’s 21st Anniversary Gala was one to remember — over 240 guests, hundreds of auction items, amazing food by A Pimento catering, good company, and dancing ’till midnight. We’re overjoyed to announce that we met our fundraising goal of $330,000.  And the reviews were all raves. In the words of one long-time attendee: “this was the best Gala in 10 years….maybe ever.”

Congratulations to the Gala Committee — Chair Gina Yoder, Co-Chair, Erica Perkins, Co-Chair, Alisa Bahl, Mandy Brown, Diane Brownlee, Jessica Cohen, Megan Evo Greenwood, Molly McShane, Erika Viccellio, and Alison Webb.  It was their dedication and vision that made this such a huge success.

And thanks to all who attended, especially our generous sponsors.

This year’s gala included a special appeal for attendees to support our Strengthening Families Initiatives: three training programs that give families the tools and resilience to better support their loved ones.  To learn more about Strengthening Families, and to donate to support the initiatives, see our STI page, here.

The Gala is over, but VIA’s work continues…teaching our students, strengthening our families, and helping build a more humane and inclusive community for all of us.
