VIA offers a wide array of services for children and adolescents working to overcome the challenges of autism.

The James C. Hormel School

VIA’s James C. Hormel School offers a year-round, state-of-the-art, evidence-based educational and clinical program formulated to maximize student and family outcomes. We utilize strengths of different disciplines such as applied behavior analysis, early childhood special education and speech language pathology to create a comprehensive program. We are licensed through the Virginia Department of Education and accredited through the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities.

Intervention and Assessment Services

VIA’s Outpatient Behavioral Services program offers an array of assessment and intervention services for families seeking help in the home, at school and in the community. We are licensed through the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

Pathways Social Skills Groups

VIA’s Pathways program builds social skills for children and teens ages 5 to 17 with Asperger Syndrome and similar developmental challenges in a safe and caring environment.

Training and Consultation

We are available to provide consultation and training to parents and school personnel for all age ranges from pre-school through high school.
