For 20 years, Erika Viccellio has been a stalwart champion both of VIA and of the families it serves. As one of our first staff members, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Within her first year working at VIA she moved from instructor to Executive Director.
Even after she left us as an employee, Erika has remained one of our most steadfast allies. She has served on VIA’s Board of Directors, committed her time as a volunteer, and as a member of the philanthropy committee.
VIA is not the only local beneficiary of Erika’s vision and leadership. She has served as Director of the Charlottesville Free Clinic, and as a board member of Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce and of the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. Her current commitments include serving as Executive Vice-President of the United Way—Thomas Jefferson Area, and as Chair of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Early Education Task Force.
