The Virginia Institute of Autism, a non-profit organization located in Charlottesville, has a current opening for a full-time BCBA on their James C. Hormel School team! We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, talented person who is dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges of autism.
The BCBA ensures that students are taught adaptive, meaningful skills across a wide variety of modalities using instructional methods based on empirically-supported practices, balance programs across behavioral teaching methods, provide program monitoring and support, provide family members with regular and frequent data summarizing the student’s progress on IEP goals, actively collaborate with special education staff, participate in applied research protocols.
Qualifications include master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology or related field; Board Certified Behavior Analyst; valid Virginia license in Behavior Analysis; extensive knowledge and skills in applied behavior analysis and evidence-based strategies for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
