What’s Going On at VIA

On the February Calendar:

Februrary 7 – (1st Wed every month) – Autism Support Group, for those with a loved one newly diagnosed. C’ville Coffee, 1301 Harris St., 9:00am-10:15am.

February 18: Kal Ale Beer Release & Fundraising Party!  Come visit with friends, mingle with VIA, and enjoy a glass of specialty ale brewed by  one of our families — all to benefit VIA!  2:00 to 7:00 pm, Pro Re Nata Brewery, 6135 Rockfish Gap Turnpike, Crozet VA.

February 19 – All programs closed at noon for staff development.

On the Horizon…

March 3 – Sibling Support Program, Carver Recreation Center, 9am to 1pm. Siblings of children with disabilities get a day that’s all about them. VIA collaborates with Charlottesville Parks and Recreation to provide peer support, information, games and recreation activities from a kids’-eye view. March 19 — VIA All-Parent Meeting — NEW DATE, NEW TIME, NEW FORMAT!  12:00 — 1:30. Meet us at CitySpace on the Downtown Mall for lunch (on us) and in-depth panel discussion with a focus on TRANSITION PLANNING FOR ADULTHOOD. As usual, there will be plenty of time for your questions, comments, and concerns.  We’re looking forward to using this new format to provide an opportunity for families and caregivers to connect, learn, and engage with this pressing, significant issue in autism services.  More info in the weeks ahead.
