This Month’s Calendar:

September 6 — Adult Program Art Exhibit. 5:30-7:30, at CitySpace on the Downtown Mall. Join us for a First Friday’s art opening as part of the Access Arts showcase, featuring art works by VIA’s Adult Services clients

September 7 — Family Event at Wildrock. 10:00 am  to 12:00 noon.  VIA is partnering with Wildrock, a nature play and discovery center in the heart of the Valley. Bring the whole family (including your child with ASD) out to Wildrock to enjoy a day of exploring 3 acres of fenced in playscape, experience support from other families, and relax in the beauty of this outdoor discovery center. All ages are welcome. Spots are limited.

September 27 — Sibling Support Program.    5:30 - 8:30 pm, 3500 Remson Court.  Program co-sponsored by VIA and by Charlottesville Therapeutic Parks & Rec – specially for siblings (ages 5-14) of children with disabilities.  Dinner and a movie will be provided at this FREE program. The goal is to provide siblings with fun opportunities for peer support.  To register, please contact Sarah Blech at blechs [at] charlottesville [dot] org or 434-970-3264. We hope to see you there!

September 27 – Parent Power Hour – 9:00-10:15 am, VIA Outpatient Behavioral Services, 3500 Remson Court. Come enjoy valuable conversation and support with other VIA parents and grandparents.

September 2 – All programs closed for Labor Day observation.

October 11 – Noon dismissal.

October 5 – 23rd Annual Gala– Castle Hill Cider in Keswick, Virginia. The event will feature dining, dancing, a silent auction, and a chance to celebrate the unique constellation of strengths and capabilities that is inside all of us.
