February 1 – Women and Girls on the Spectrum – 9:00-10:00 AM, Brooks Family YMCA, 151 McIntire Park Drive. Join us for a presentation on gender differences in autism spectrum disorder, and the implications for supporting girls and women on the spectrum. Presentation led by Dr. Rose Nevill, Director of UVA Autism Research Core, and Dr. Erica Rouch, Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow. Small group breakout and Q & A after the presentation.
February 6– (1st Wed every month) - Autism Support Group, for those with a loved one newly diagnosed. C’ville Coffee, 1301 Harris St., 9:00am-10:15am.
February 13 — Meet and Greet for VIA Parents / Grandparents. A chance to meet, greet, and share support with your fellow VIA families. Please note: this event is at our Outpatient / Adult facility at 3500 Remson Court off Greenbrier Dr, off 29 North, to allow Outpatient families who are dropping off their children to stay and get together. 9:00 — 10:30am.

Looking Ahead …
March 16 — Sibling Support Program — 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Carver Recreation Center. Sponsored by VIA and Charlottesville Parks & Recreation. A day of fun and support especially for siblings (ages 6-14) of children with any disability. Siblings (ages 15-18) also needed to serve as peer buddies. Lunch will be included. March 23 — Autism Day at Wildrock. Join us from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon for this free event at Wildrock nature play and discovery center. Location: 6600 Blackwell Hollow Road, Crozet. Bring the whole family, including your child with ASD, out to Wildrock to enjoy a day of exploring three acres of fenced in playscape, experience support from other families, and relax in the beauty of this out-door discovery center.
