Jeff is the President and Founder of SHINE Systems, a Charlottesville-based contractor supplying project management, cybersecurity, systems, and data analytic services to a range of public and private organizations. As an entrepreneur, Jeff’s goal has always been to bring the values of communication, stewardship, integrity, and vision to his businesses.
Those values are reflected not just in his professional dealings but in his personal commitments. In addition to his service on the board of VIA, Jeff also sits on the Board of Advisors for First Citizens Bank, and on the Defense Affairs Committee at the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Nationally, he serves on the HUBZone Contractors National Council.
Jeff is an alumnus of Leadership Charlottesville. He holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Hampden-Sydney College. Jeff and SHINE Systems have been the lead sponsor of the Run for Autism 5K in 2016, 2017, and 2018. His connection to VIA began with his daughter’s diagnosis on the spectrum at age 2, as he deepened his interest in exploring “how we manage and overcome autism in our lifetimes.”
