Virginia Institute of Autism Library
VIA's 700-volume library and resource center serves hundreds of families seeking assistance for their children with autism, as well as teachers seeking to expand their understanding of autism and evidence-based approaches to the education of students with autism.
The library is currently available by appointment by calling (434) 923-8252. Library hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Library Membership Agreement
- Books may be checked out for two weeks at a time.
- They may be renewed one time for an additional two weeks.
- Books must be returned promptly on or before their due date.
- Fines will accrue for each overdue book in the amount of fifty cents per day beginning the day following the due date including weekend days.
- When a book has been overdue for two weeks a one-time fine accrues of twice the replacement cost of the book, and the book will be deemed lost by the library.
- Failure to pay fines for overdue or lost books will result in revocation of library use privileges until the fines are paid.
