Run for Autism 5K

Bigger and Better!

On Saturday, April 21st the Virginia Institute of Autism hosted the 2012 Run for Autism 5K and ¼ mile Kids Race.  The weather was perfect –sunny and mild –and the event was bigger than ever.  A record number of 775 participants registered to run and over 75 volunteers helped to keep the race running smoothly. Zach Gentry won the Male Overall Category with a 5K time of 17:11 and Pamela Koleck won the female overall with a time of 20:30.  The Western Albemarle team won the Golden Stick Award again this year for the area girls’ high school lacrosse team that registers the most participants for the race. Additional race results are listed below.

We sincerely apologize, but we do not have accurate times for the race participants that finished in place 539-617. Our time recording equipment malfunctioned!
