The Virginia Institute of Autism (VIA) is a non-profit organization providing a day-school and other resources for families, educators and health professionals seeking services, training or information about autism and evidence based interventions.
Playgroups at the Museum
VIA’s Playgroups in the Park support group has moved to the Children’s Discovery Museum! Playgroups in the Museum will meet Mondays from 10:30-noon beginning November 28, 2011. The Discovery Museum is typically closed on Monday so this is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the museum in a relaxed environment. The cost is free and siblings are welcome! There will be no Playgroup sessions on December 26, 2011, and January 2, 2011. Find out more...
Shaping the Future Workshop:
An Introduction to the Use of Applied Behavior Analysis in the Education of Children with Autism, March 19-21, 2012 Shaping the Future is an intensive three-day workshop designed to provide parents and professionals with training in the theory and application of ABA principles, specifically as they relate to children with autism.
